The Brexit Blues

Is Brexit getting you down?

In recruitment there are many things that can affect business – time of year, competition, the weather (seriously!). But the current political instability seems to be making everyone more nervous than usual when it comes to taking on new staff. So why is now a good time to recruit….?

Temporary solutions

Perhaps you’re waiting with baited breath to see what March 29th will bring (or whether we’ll have to wait even longer). But we’re confident in assuming your business hasn’t stopped running in the meantime. If you’re planning to expand your team but want to wait until things settle, consider taking on a temporary member of staff or two. Not only can a temp cover any short term work needs, they are usually able to start right away. And if you’re in a position to take on a permanent staff member a few months down the line, you’ve already got someone trained up and in your business ready to go!

Beat the rush

As we’ve been speaking to our clients over the last few weeks there has been a definite theme emerging….things are starting to happen! A combination of Spring, the end of the tax year and (hopefully) some clarity around Brexit is opening the doors for lots of recruitment requirements. And, with candidates still in fairly short supply, you don’t want to be left hunting when you come to start looking

Life goes on

Don’t worry, keep smiling!

As much as the whole Brexit situation is ruling the headlines at the moment, people still need jobs and companies still need to function. We’ve seen some fantastic candidates walk through our doors over the past few weeks, from experienced Administrators and Customer Service Advisors to people with skills in Accounts, Project Management, Marketing, Sales, Warehousing and much much more! So if you are considering bringing in some new faces, why not take a look….the perfect person could be waiting to work for YOU!
