Job Description

Are you an experienced Recruitment Consultant looking for something a little bit different? Or perhaps you have no recruitment experience but are a recent graduate or have a strong sales/account management background and are looking for a brand new challenge?

We are expanding and are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join the team in our Macclesfield office.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Experience is not necessary – this isn’t just something we say to people, it’s genuinely true! If you’re a graduate with good grades and are driven, tenacious and a team player you could be the perfect fit. However, if you’re experienced within recruitment or sales and are looking for a local, independent agency with no ridiculous KPIs and a warm desk, you could also be the one!

You must be a confident communicator, be able to think on your feet and have decent IT skills. Above everything, you must be happy speaking to people over the phone and in person.

If you’re looking for a job where you can hide in the corner and make up the numbers, this is definitely not the job for you. But if you want to stand up and be counted, keep reading!

WHAT IS THE JOB?

You’ll be working on our Permanent Commercial desk, essentially running your own mini business! No 2 days are the same but some of the key duties will include:

  • Speaking to current and new clients, building relationships and supporting them with their recruitment
  • Advising clients on the job market and candidate activity
  • Negotiating on new vacancies with new and existing clients
  • Constantly looking to win new business and develop the relationships with all clients
  • Managing existing candidates and answering a range of queries
  • Searching for and interviewing new candidates
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate record of candidates
  • Offering advice to candidates on their job search, applications and CVs
  • Participating in regular team events, including nights out and café breakfasts!

At COS you will have no unnecessary KPIs. Honestly. You won’t be micromanaged and you will be supported every step of the way, by both our MD and the team.
