Are you looking for a Credit Control role that is more well-rounded than just hammering the phones? Or perhaps you’re an Accounts Assistant who enjoys some variation and likes building relationships? Either way, we’re recruiting for an Accounts Assistant / Credit Control position for our long-standing client in Macclesfield that might be of interest…

Due to the retirement of one of the Accounts team, this lovely company are looking for an Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller to join their team. You’ll receive a full hand over and training on all the internal systems, as well as ongoing support from the friendly team. Duties will be varied and will certainly include:

  • Updating the sales ledger regularly
  • Contacting clients to chase outstanding money owed
  • Unpicking queries to establish issues and make sure invoices are paid on time by resolving any issues
  • Taking phone payments and undertaking the banking
  • Accounts payable
  • General administration around the department, including cover for colleagues where required

As much as it’s important you have the relevant experience, it’s also really important that you have the right attitude! Ideally you’ll be eager to learn, positive and genuinely have a willingness to get the job done. Previous use of Sage Sales Ledger would be massively beneficial, as would strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

  • £18,500 to £20,000
  • Full Time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (5pm finish on a Friday)
